Which Offering Best Fits Your Individual Needs?
New Castle Hundred Archers has members at all skill levels from beginners to world champions, including many certified instructors. Whether you are getting tips from the archer beside you at the practice range, enjoying a public class offered through the City of Newark, have become a regular at our weekly drop-in public classes, or are receiving private lessons to take your skills to the next level, we have it all. No membership is required to attend any of our instructional classes. The club offers these services as a way for us to continue to give back to the community that has allowed us to grow to what we have today.
Public Drop-In Lessons
New Castle Hundred Archers now offers Drop-In classes. We offer classes on Saturday 10:30am-12:00pm.. We also offer a ladies-only session each Wednesday night at 6:30pm-8:00pm. No pre-registration required just show up 10-15 min before class time to get signed in. Pre-registration for groups over 8 is preferred, simply call ahead and let us know you’re coming. The classes cover the basic fundamentals of archery, with lots of shooting time behind a bow. A safety orientation is mandatory for all first-time attendees. All equipment will be provided for you, or bring your own. Our instructors are US Archery certified.
Public Community Classes
New Castle Hundred Archers offers public classes through the City of Newark’s Parks and Recreation. The classes cover the basic fundamentals of archery. The beginning archer will learn safety rules, basic shooting technique and about the different types of bows. All equipment will be provided for you. The instructor is an experienced archer. Registration for these classes are through the city of Newark. If you need assistance finding these classes, please give us a call. We will be glad to help.

Private Individual or Private Group Lessons
Instructors are available for private and semi-private instruction. Our instructors are certified by National Field Archery Association (NFAA) and USA Archery (USAA) (Olympic Archery Organization). We offer instruction to all ages, shooting styles, and equipment choices. We have numerous instructors that are eager to help and will work hard to accommodate your needs. Achieve Archery
The ACHIEVE ARCHERY PROGRAM provides recreational archers an immersion into various forms of Archery at a deeper instructional level than our public lessons offer. Our Archery Exploration Program is intended to serve archers of all ages, all archery discipline and provide in-depth, hands-on instruction in a group setting. Archers young and old can pursue archery simply for fun or as a serious competitor. This program serves the archer seeking to advance their recreational archery as a hobby. Junior Olympic Archery Development
New Castle 100 Archers offers JOAD (Junior Olympic Archery Development). This is education geared toward making our young archers competition ready.
